Where The Traditions Of The Past Meet The Future

Greater Pittsburgh Modern Pattern Dance Group

The Greater Pittsburgh Square and Modern Pattern Dance Group was formed In January 2014, by Scott Brown , Shawn Brown, and Lisa Minton of Gold Rush Records. Its purpose is to preserve the Art of the American Folk Dance through modern music, and provide the public with an open venue where they can learn to dance year round at their convenience.

Gold Rush is one of the leading producers of Music for Modern Western Style Square Dancing in the world today, and remains dedicated to the preservation of Our American Culture through Dance. Our group is made up of 4 different Clubs located in the PA, WV, and Ohio, Tri state area. They are the Gold Rush Outlaws in Independence PA, Western Wranglers Industry PA, Dip N Dives in Steubenville Ohio, and The Hancock County Rangers in New Cumberland WV.

New dancers are always welcome and should come at 7:00 PM for an introductory teach. Dancers can learn at their own pace and pick up where they left off. Dress is casual, and admission is only $5.00 per person.  We are open to all ages and lifestyles, and have three International recording artists on our staff to serve you. Join us for a night and see what we have to offer.

HISTORY SHOWS THAT A CULTURE DEPRIVED OF DANCE IS A CULTURE DEPRIVED OF FREEDOM
